You simply sit in a straight-back chair with your head\, neck and trunk straight\, or on the floor with your legs in a cross-legged yoga posture if that is more comfortable. You will be asked to close your eyes and concentrate your silent attention on any name of the Divine Reality that you are most familiar and comfortable with. Do not worry if you have not been given a mantra from a qualified teacher; that is true for a large number of the participants. Here are some suggestions from different traditions:  \n\nJesus\nLord Jesus Christ\nAve Maria\nBarukh attah Adonai\nAllah\nRama\nOm namaha Shivaya\nOm mani padme hum\n\nThe actual period for meditation begins with the sound of a bell. A reading and group discussion follow the meditation.  \nHOW SHOULD I DRESS FOR THE MEDITATION SESSION?\nLoose\, comfortable clothing is best.  \nIS THERE A CHARGE?\nNo\, the Sunday AMI MEDITATION and Satsang is free.
