The actual period for meditation begins with the sound of a bell. You simply sit in a straight-back chair with your head, neck and trunk straight, or on the floor with your legs in a cross-legged yoga posture if that is more comfortable. You will be asked to close your eyes and concentrate your silent attention on any name of the Divine Reality that you are most familiar and comfortable with.
